I stopped doing art of any kind for several years due to life just getting way too complicated. I got a Bamboo tablet recently as a birthday present and I've started trying to dink around with drawing again. So I'm giving some digital art a try and I'm working on a comic that I've had kicking around in my head for quite some time. Don't know how long I will be able to run with the new comic, but it got me looking over some old comics that I did and I decided to upload both the old and the new comic here.
I was really surprised that even before I had them all uploaded, someone actually favorited two of the comics. It made me feel really good. Even with all of the issues with the original comic (called Room for One More) and the fact that I only have a couple of comics for the new series (called Stick Figure Psychosis) someone found some value in them. I really wasn't expecting that.
My life is still complicated, and a lot of those complications came down just today, but life is all about challenges I guess. But I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who stops by and checks out the art that I've done and the art that I may yet do in the future. I really appreciate the fact that some of you folks actually find some humor or value in my work. So again, thank you and take care.
Success!
My YouTube channel attempt has been successful in pushing me to do more art. Not only did it inspire me to try InkTober this year, but I actually completed it.
I will have to make a new folder just for my InkTober drawings, with maybe sub-folders for each year I complete. So amazed, my art continues to improve, and I’ve actually drawn more in the last few months, than I have in the last several years.
Visual Thinking
As a writer, I think everyone should most likely be familiar with the term, "A picture is worth a thousand words". Images can convey so much more at times than the spoken or written word. That's why some movies can have such a deep impact on our psyches. We are taking in so very much more of what is going on, than what is actually being said. Some movies manage to convey their deepest meanings without even so much as a single word being spoken during the entire thing.
So how do you reverse that, how do you write something based entirely off of visual images?
I am a mostly visual thinker, I don't really think in words, just images that run t

I'm feeling so broken right now...
Today was my husband's disability hearing.
First and foremost let me tell you that disability for mental health issues is a joke. They make you apply, get turned down, find a disability lawyer, reapply, wait two years for a hearing date, and give you a short time to plead your case once it does go to court. During the hearing, there is a disability appointed psychiatrist listening in via phone, who promptly ignores all of your previous medical evidence and declares that you are not disabled. Then you are told that you must wait three months for the judge to make up his mind as to whether he listens to you
Update: Artist was found Image was done.
It looks like I'm going to be trying to get some property so that I can build an organic goat farm with my husband and our best friend. We are going to start a goat farm (for dairy products like cheese) and also have chickens (for farm fresh organic eggs) and a llama (to guard the goats). We will also be growing organic fruits and veggies and an organic orchard.
We have decided to call our farm project "Punk Llama Farm" and we need a logo for our fundraiser banner and for the t-shirts that will be made for our fundraiser. Sadly I suck at drawing llamas (punk or otherwise) and we really need this soon so we can actually launch our fundraiser.
